Founded in Athens in 2017,
from the very beginning MARIANA LALAOUNI has had a focus to create inspiring uniforms not just with a concept and an ideology, but uniforms that everybody would love to wear.

About

Mariana Lalaouni

My childhood memories are filled with images of bolts of fabric, sewing machines and dress rehearsals. It all started from when I would dress the mannequin dolls on the window display of “Elle”, the first exclusive boutique for women in Athens, founded by my grandfather Takis Maltezos in 1954, which then grew to multiple retail stores in Anthimou Gazi, Ermou and Stadiou.

In 2009 I completed my studies in Fashion Design in Athens, and since then I worked as a fashion designer with various well established retail companies across Athens and within the theatre industry. At the same time, taking full advantage of my knowledge on sur measure garments, I focused on creating tailor-made attires ranging from wedding dresses to male suits.
